Moonshot's purpose is to tackle climate change through the power of food. We are living and working on stolen land and environmental justice can never be achieved while Indigenous Peoples, their traditions, land rights, and food sovereignty continue to be oppressed. Without social justice, we cannot fulfill our mission.

We are headquartered on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Yelamu, a local tribe of the Ramaytush Ohlone peoples, who are the original inhabitants of the San Francisco Peninsula. We'd like to recognize and thank the Ramaytush Ohlone peoples for being the very first and ongoing land stewards of San Francisco.
We talk about regenerative agriculture every single day here at Moonshot and it’s critical that we acknowledge that this approach to farming stems from the wisdom of working together with nature as Indigenous Peoples have for millennia.
